A further 20% will involve the mentorship of graduate and intern students, providing both technical guidance and safety protocols under the Principal Investigator’s supervision. The remaining 30% will focus on self-directed research initiatives and the development of funding proposals.Start DateThe position is currently vacant and available for an immediate start. The applications will be reviewed in the order received, and the position will remain open until filled. The contract’s initial term will be one year with a possibility of extension depending on the contract’s continuation, individual performance, and funding availability.Duties

  • Engineer practical GUV solutions tailored to both in-duct and upper room applications, enhancing indoor air quality and health.
  • Undertake independent research, supported by the team, to push the boundaries of current GUV applications.
  • Clearly articulate research findings and analyses through both written reports and oral presentations to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Craft and submit manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and present findings at both national and international forums.
  • Engage in the grant proposal process to secure funding for future research endeavors.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering their technical skills and emphasizing the importance of safety in all laboratory activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prospective candidates should possess a Ph.D. in a field relevant to the role (e.g., engineering, microbiology, chemical biology) by the start date.
  • A strong motivation for research, excellent organizational skills, proficient communication abilities in English, and a solid track record of publications are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A keen interest in multidisciplinary research.
  • Proven capability to conduct both independent and collaborative research projects.
  • Prior experience in GUV research is highly advantageous.
  • Hands-on skills in bioanalysis techniques, such as PCR, will be considered a valuable asset.
