More information about working at the School can be found on our .About the RoleThe Blavatnik School of Government is in search of a Postdoctoral Policy and Research Associate for the for the Public Sector which aims to address public sector challenges and opportunities globally, with a specific focus on Brazil. Through partnerships with Brazilian institutions, engagement with public sector practitioners, and delivery of insights and training, the Programme seeks to reshape the Brazilian public sector by fostering research, disseminating knowledge, equipping leaders, and facilitating collaboration.As part of the Programme, the candidate for this role will support the Programme Director in various capacities, including research development, coordination of Brazil-focused activities, editing Programme outputs, and facilitating practitioner and academic engagement. The role emphasises translating knowledge into practice, fostering collaboration with the Brazilian public sector, and building partnerships to advance the Programme’s objectives.About YouYou are expected to be motivated by (and committed to) the research mission of the Lemann Foundation Programme, and should possess sufficient specialist knowledge in public sector transformation to contribute to and compile an international body of research and practice. Holding or being close to completion of a PhD/DPhil in relevant fields such as public policy, law, public management, or organisational psychology is essential.You should have excellent communication skills, including being able to write for both academic and non-academic publications, present at conferences, and represent the research group at meetings, and the ability to translate research findings into concrete policy recommendations.
