DescriptionA post-doctoral position is immediately available to study the biogenesis and role of lipid droplets in neurodegenerative diseases, as part of a collaborative project between the laboratories of Dr. Simonetta Sipione and Dr. Richard Lehner, at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.Eligible candidates will be involved in an exciting area of research with clinical relevance.The project will be developed with a multidisciplinary approach involving the use of biochemical, molecular, cell biology and neurobiology techniques..Preferred starting date: June 2024Basic Qualifications:
- Candidates must be within 0-48 months of completing their PhD degree in a discipline related to biomedical research
- Demonstrated scientific productivity and a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed publications in international journals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Strong background in cell biology and biochemistry
