About the RoleWe seek a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in cellular and molecular immunology to contribute to the delivery of high-quality research under the supervision of the Head of the Centre for Experimental Medicine & Rheumatology of Centre, Professor Costantino Pitzalis.About YouThe main duty of the post is to investigate the efficacy of human peptidyl arginine deiminase 2 and 4 (PAD2 and PAD4) blocking monoclonal antibodies in inhibiting PAD2 and PAD4 activity in synovial fluids and plasma samples obtained from rheumatoid arthritis patients using different immunological / biological assays.About the Centre for Experimental Medicine & RheumatologyThe successful candidate will join a strong research team of scientists and clinicians dedicated to the development of innovative therapeutic and diagnostic approaches to inflammatory arthropathies. The emphasis is on translational research by combining strengths and expertise of basic and clinician scientists working together.
