The PDRAs will conduct R&D activities at Production Park in Wakefield, in close liaison with the Project Directors and Co-Investigators. Successful candidates will have a strong track record of R&D in creative technologies, including one or more of the following: Machine vision; machine learning; Data science and analytics; immersive and interactive audio; media signal processing; low latency networking; psycho-physics; UX design and testing; VR/AR. Candidates should have strong coding skills. The PDRAs will be expected to work closely with industry partners and other relevant stakeholders on a range of different projects.Skills, Experience & Qualification neededPhD in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Psychology or equivalentExpert knowledge in one or more of the following subject areas: Machine vision; machine learning; Data science and analytics; immersive and interactive audio; media signal processing; low latency networking; psycho-physics; UX design and testing; VR/ARExcellent programming skillsKnowledge of testing and analysing systems using appropriate methodologiesWorking knowledge of live performance technologiesGood written and oral communication skillsActive in developing positive working relationships, both internally and externallyFlexibility under pressureAble to acquire new skills and knowledge rapidlyExperience of carrying out both independent and collaborative researchInterview date: To be confirmedFor informal enquiries: Please contact Emma Brown (costarlivelab-admin@york.ac.uk) or Prof. Gavin Kearney ( )Condition of employmentThis role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
