Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chemical Glycobiology

DepartmentApplications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the group of in the Department of Chemistry at the University of York. This position is part of an ERC Starting Grant that supports the laboratory’s pioneering work on the study of glycans that are linked to congenital muscular dystrophies. The post is available for 7 months on a full-time basis. The post will suit a person with a PhD, or equivalent relevant experience, in chemical biology or synthetic chemistry with a specific interest in carbohydrate chemistry. Ability to offer experience with the evaluation of small molecules in mammalian cell culture would further strengthen your application, and experience with or interest in the development and characterisation of enzyme inhibitors and probes would also be advantageous.The is one of the largest and most successful departments at York and we are renowned internationally for our research.
