About the roleApplications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Organic Chemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Veronique Gouverneur for a period of up to 12 months. The project involves the development of novel methodologies to facilitate the preparation of fluorinated molecules with sustainability criteria in mind and is funded by the ERC (HBPTC and UKRI).Find out more about the research project and group at: gouverneur groupAbout youApplicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry or a relevant subject area, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up the appointment. The research requires expertise in synthetic organic chemistry or fluorine chemistry. You will experience in solid state chemistry, solution phase chemistry and the synthesis of various ligands for fluoride or metal binding. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Research Laboratory, 12 Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA and is available from 1 January 2025.Application ProcessApplications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your application.
