THIS VACANCY IS OPEN TO INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLYAbout usThe Social Consequences of Religion Initiative (SCORE) is an academic research initiative funded by the Templeton Religion Trust. SCORE is poised to be a multi-decade effort to review, synthesise, research and analyse the effects of religious belief, behaviour, and institutions on many crucial domains of human life. A sub-initiative of SCORE on Religion and Peacebuilding is convened and led by Dr Stacey Gutkowski in the Centre for the Study of the Divided Societies, an academic research centre based in the globally renowned Department of War Studies at King’s College London.About the roleWe wish to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate to help with the completion of a systematic literature review, related analysis and publications, as well as support for practitioner mapping and dissemination activities. The post is available full time from 1 October 2024 on a fixed term basis for 12 months. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Politics, International Relations, or another relevant social science discipline (or pending final confirmation of the degree). They must have substantial familiarity with the social science literature on peace and religion; successfully published academic research in English; and experience using the techniques and software packages relevant to systematic literature review. Research expertise related to one or more of the following global regions (Asia, Latin America, Africa, Oceania) is strongly desired.About youTo be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:Essential criteria1. In these circumstances the appointment will be made at Grade 5, spine point 30 with the title of Research Assistant.
