Postdoctoral Research Associate/Survey Research Center (SRC)

Princeton University

Position description

The Survey Research Center (SRC) at the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University seeks postdoctoral research associates in the areas of survey design, survey experiments, and methodology. An initial appointment is for one year starting around August 1, 2024 with the possibility of renewal, based on satisfactory performance and continued funding.

The postdoctoral associate will support ongoing survey projects and the development of new projects at the SRC. The researcher will act as part of a team designing surveys with various target populations, substantive topics, and survey modes; provide broad-based methodological support to projects and proposals; and assist in report writing and analysis. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in minimizing inattentiveness; linking surveys with other data sources; and/or devising innovations in survey-experimental design. The postdoctoral associate will devote 50% of their time to SRC projects, and the remaining time to their own projects.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in political science, sociology, or related fields and a strong background in the study of public opinion.
