Salary will be $70,000 per year.The School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver campus, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) position at the rank of Post-Doctoral Fellow. The position is for 12 months. Salary will be $70,000 per year.Working directly with Dr. Jennifer Baumbusch, the Post-Doctoral Fellow will join a productive multi-disciplinary research group, inclusive of people with lived experience. The successful candidate will have a background in qualitative research methods and program evaluation, with a strong commitment to applied research that influences policy, practice, and health. As well, a demonstrated background in the areas of gerontology and climate change is preferred.The role will be part of Dr. Baumbusch’s CIHR funded research program focused on climate change and the aging population. Related research projects include: a study about the impact of extreme heat events on older adults, a photovoice project about the mental health impacts of climate change on older adults, and climate resilience in the long-term care home sector.Responsibilities will include:
