Being directly applied to decipher the dynamic rearrangements of multidrug efflux pumps, which are central to antibiotic resistance, and efforts to inhibit them to restore antibiotic efficacy. Success in this project would represent a significant step forward in the determination of how proteins shape the function of cells. For further details on project see: .Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in biological, chemical, or physical sciences and previous postdoctoral/contracted researcher experience would be an advantage.Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.The postholder would join the lab of Dr Eamonn Reading at the University of Southampton ( ). Together we aim to advance bioanalytical science to investigate the basis of function, and malfunction, of proteins in health and disease.Our team, and laboratories, are within the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Southampton ( ).
