We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in CRISPR/Cas9 Cellular Based High Throughput Screening, to join Daniel Ebner’s team at the Target Discovery Institute – Centre for Medicines Discovery, University of Oxford

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scientist who will be responsible for independently developing cellular assays relevant to a range of pathologies and producing high throughput phenotypic screens in arrayed CRISPR or genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 formats.  You will be a highly organized and productive member of a growing high throughput screening team aiming to manage and deliver multiple projects per year as a member of the Xcellomics Public-Private Partnership with the University of Oxford. We actively encourage scientists from all disease backgrounds, but with the necessary assay development and phenotypic screening experience to apply.

It is essential that you hold PhD (or close to completion) or equivalent expertise, with practical laboratory training in cell-based research techniques, together with experience initiating, developing and producing cell-based research projects to address specific pathological or cell pathway questions. Particular emphasis on developing and validating cell-based assays and cell-based target validation assays.  You will have experience in all phases of CRISPR/Cas9 genome-wide screening including culturing and manipulation of cell lines, especially lentiviral production, as well as transduction, maintenance, PCR amplification and deep sequencing.  You will have a track-record of relevant scientific collaboration with research scientists and operations colleagues
