Postdoctoral Researcher: The Oxford Psychological Interventions in Childhood and adolescence (TOPIC)

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join an exciting National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) funded project which aims to transform the lives of children with anxiety disorders and their families by developing and evaluating a route for seamless identification and online intervention via primary schools.The post is based in the Department of Experimental Psychology in the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter in Oxford. The post is full time however consideration would be given to candidates wishing to work part time (minimum 80% FTE), on a pro rata basis, with a commensurate reduction in duties.The post is for a fixed term (funded to 28 February 2025).The University has introduced a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 a year (pro rata) for all staff on grades 1-10 of the main salary and grading structure which will be implemented in the September 2024 payroll.You will support the delivery of a large randomised controlled trial, managing discrete elements of the trial relating parent retention to follow up assessments and an integrated process evaluation. This will include managing administrative activities related to parent data collection, supervising research assistants and working closely with the trial manager to monitor progress and with the trial investigators to organise and analyse qualitative and quantitative data.You will have or be close to completion of a relevant PhD/DPhil together with relevant rience. You will have specialist knowledge of anxiety disorders in children and mental health research with children and families. With previous experience of using quantitative and qualitative methods in psychological research you will be able to contribute ideas for new research projects and research income generation. Experience of independently managing a discrete area of a research project would be desirable as would experience/knowledge of REDCap for collecting and managing research data.You will be required to upload a supporting statement and a CV as part of your application.The closing date for the post is midday on 27 August 2024£36,024 to £38,205 per annum
