Therefore, we are focused on enhancing our technical capability and building tomorrow’s workforce today, and that’s why we are looking for a Power System Capability Developer.You’ll lead the process of improving our technical capabilities, including expanding and reviewing our training programs, delivering and organising training sessions, supporting our authorisation process and giving guidance on creating and updating our processes and procedures.You’ll use your capabilities in a range of power system modelling and system studies including load flow, fault level, stability, harmonics and EMT analysis. You’ll also utilise your understanding of the application of power electronics-based devices in power systems (eg HVDC, FACTS, wind farms, BESS, etc.).This role is based out of our offices in Warwick and can be combined with hybrid working from home.What you’ll need

  • Expertise in power system engineering, analysis, and experience in power system component modelling.
  • Experience in utilising RMS or EMT simulation tools (preferably DIgSILENT PowerFactory or PSCAD).
  • Good knowledge of application of power electronics-based devices in power systems (eg. HVDC, FACTS, wind farms, BESS, etc.).
  • Experience building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to present technical information through reports and presentations.
  • A combination of experience in Power Industry and Academia, as well as training delivery, would be advantageous
  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD in power system engineering or a related field, as well as combined academic and industry experience.
