Description of the Assignment: The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is seeking an Individual Consultant (IC) to prepare a research study on volunteering in humanitarian response. The study will examine the role and impact of volunteers in humanitarian action, with a focus on their integration into UN Humanitarian Response Plans (HRPs), and will provide actionable recommendations for policymakers and humanitarian agencies. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 7 years of experience in research and/or policy formulation related to humanitarian response, proven expertise in research and analysis, and strong writing skills in English (knowledge of other UN languages is an asset).
Period of assignment/services: expected duration of 35 days over 3 months, starting on 01 October 2025.
Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
