Job Title: Primary Classroom Teacher
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 – £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience).
Start Date: Immediate/ Easter 2025 start

Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this is an exciting opportunity to thrive in a supportive and well-resourced learning environment.Role Overview:As a Primary Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and providing exceptional support to your students. You will play a key role in shaping the academic success of the school, fostering intellectual curiosity and ensuring that each student is empowered to reach their full potential.Primary Classroom Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across a range of subjects, in line with the school curriculum
  • Assessing students’ progress and providing feedback to support their continuous improvement
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and supported
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver cross-curricular initiatives and contribute to the overall development of the school
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a respectful, productive learning environment
  • Maintaining accurate records of student’s academic achievements, behaviour and development
  • Communicating effectively with students, parents and staff to ensure the highest standards of educational outcomes.

Primary Classroom Teacher Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or ECT (Early Career Teacher) with a passion for teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Proven experience as a Class Teacher (or suitable placements for ECTs) within a mainstream primary school.
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies for primary education.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and focused learning environment.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate children, tailoring lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
