NLH28841We are working with Primary Schools in Sheffield who are currently searching for full-time Classroom Assistants for SeptemberSeptember Start
Location : SheffieldSeeking a new role in Education?Main duties:
- Provide individual and small-group support to pupils with SEN, promoting their engagement and progress in class activities.
- Monitor the pupils’ response to the learning activities and, where appropriate, modify or adapt the activities as agreed with the class teacher to achieve the intended learning outcomes.
- Assist in the recording of lessons and assessment as required by the class teacher.
Requirements:
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification – NNEB/CACHE Level 2 /NVQ Certificate in Support Teaching and Learning or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of supporting pupils identified with having SEND and/or children working at below age expected level
- Have the ability to effectively manage behaviour using positive strategies
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
