For more information about Fidelity Clearing Canada, please visitHow You’ll Make an ImpactThe Principal Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst FCC is responsible for defining, implementing and continuously improving policies, processes and procedures that deliver consistent and reliable products and services to business and customers. This role creates, executes and documents the tests necessary to ensure that application and technical environment meets performance requirements and freedom from defects.The Principal QA Analyst ensures that quality standards are met and adhered to by using their knowledge and quality assurance methods, tools and techniques. The role will resolve, document, and report to management quality problems that arise and assure projects meet quality standards by planning, designing and executing testing and developing procedures relating to product quality within multiple projects or a single complex project.What You Will DoDesignCreates test plans, data, procedures and manual and/or automated scriptsParticipates in formal reviews of application designs, business and functional requirementsEnsures test coverage of project requirementsDesigns tests for all systems interfacesDefines impact to other systems interfaces and manages IT change management processDocumentation and developmentResponsible for test and quality assurance results and metrics on all projectsDefines and implements test methodology, standards, procedures, checklists and metricsDevelops or extends test automation strategyEnsures test environment reflects business requirements for test executionConsults on developing in-house test tools and harnesses where necessaryParticipates in the selection of automated test development tools; researches and recommends alternative test tools as necessaryCoordinates planning, design and production of deliverables in consideration of the Software Development LifecycleProject leadership, tracking, control and reportingEstablish project plans for projects in moderate scopeWorks on multiple projects concurrentlyEstablishes on-time and on-budget project goalsPlans and coordinates project schedules and may make project assignmentsMaintains status of project and monitors activities of team membersUnderstands vision, goals and direction of team/ organizationTestingExecutes and writes manual and/or automated test scripts for projectsCoordinates test schedules, work and resource plans; manages progress of all test activities against planEstablishes testing entrance and exit criteria, working with the project teamEnsures all Test cases both manual and automated are updated in JIRA, and Zephyr Test case managementTest planning and Test execution of both Agile and Waterfall processesWhat We’re Looking ForPost-Secondary Education, or equivalent experience5 Years of experience in Manual and Automated Quality Assurance3 Years of industry experience in the Financial Services or Wealth MangementISTQB certification would be an assetThe Expertise You BringStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in scrum/Agile and understands business requirements or user storiesMulti-tasker, ability to manage multiple deliverables at onceStrong relationship builder – developers, BSAs, SMEs, scrum masters and PMsExperience in Software DevelopmentExperience with Broadridge DataphileFidelity Canada is an equal opportunity employerFidelity Canada is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
