We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and make a significant impact in the field of drug development.Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to manage, mentor, and develop a team of translational scientists in a fast-paced environment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire spectrum of exploratory clinical assays, from design and planning to execution, documentation, and interpretation. Your work will be crucial in informing the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and mechanism of action of our cutting-edge cell therapy drug products.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and nurture a team of talented translational scientists, fostering their growth and ensuring the team’s success.
- Oversee and guide the design, planning, execution, and interpretation of exploratory clinical assays.
- Manage and implement assay qualification and validation processes, working closely with QA and other departments to ensure robust and well-defined assay packages.
- Collaborate with biocomputational colleagues to compile, analyse, and interpret complex data sets, distilling key insights and narratives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in immunology, managing and supporting external collaborations.
- Enhance the company’s external scientific visibility through collaborations with industry partners.
Requirements:
- Strong academic background evidenced by a PhD, ideally within Immunology or a similar area
- 4-6+ years of relevant professional experience, including some within an industrial setting
- Expertise within T Cell biology (e.g. development, differentiation, activation), including research
- Good working knowledge of flow cytometry
- Working understanding of regulatory space surrounding the use of human tissues in research
- Track record within biomarker discovery/immune phenotyping (phase 1/2)
