About usThe Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health at UCL is part of the Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care and is co-led by Professor Greta Rait and Professor Kate Walters.Our mission is to:

About the roleThe National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Research Support Service (RSS) hub delivered by Imperial College London (ICL), University College London, Queen Mary University London and King’s College London (NIHR RSS ICL and Partners) provides researchers with access to support, advice and expertise in the development and delivery of clinical and applied health and care research.This role will support Professor Rait, Co-Director of the RSS as the UCL Institutional Lead for the NIHR RSS delivered by ICL and Partners. The post holder will lead the UCL RSS team with Professor Rait, provide support to RSS Advisory staff across the four partner institutions and work closely with the Operations Director.We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual with quantitative research expertise to be involved in the strategic development of the service and to lead the UCL contribution to the service.This post is funded until 30th September 2028 in the first instance.About youThe post holder will provide expert advice to clients on research design, funding applications and post award support.The post-holder will have proven research skills and broad experience of quantitative research methodologies, expertise on advising on research methodology, and a keen enthusiasm for strategic development of current and future health and social care researchers.The post holder will have a PhD, a track record of conducting research and publishing, and undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and supervision experience.The post holder will have expertise in advising senior researchers and industry.Application Details:
