Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As an RBC Private Banker you join a select team of seasoned professionals responsible for developing and delivering dedicated, and highly personalized financial solutions to a well-heeled, and distinctly wealthy international clientele.Your approach is focused, drawing on your experience to successfully manage your portfolio of households that require sophisticated wealth retention and wealth management strategies on top of daily banking, credit, investment, cash management solutions.What will you do?
- Working in a team environment, you have international clients with a focus on Asian Markets. You collaborate well across RBC business silos domestically and internationally, partnering across the organization to develop and execute a client-centric strategy.
- You apply your vast business development experience for prospecting and lead generation to build new business.
- You value your client relationships and provide unmatched relationship management, advice/solutions, and services to Ultra High-Net-Worth (UHNW) International Clients while complying with Cross-Border Rules and Regulations.
- Executing the discovery process well, you ensure clear and adequate Source of Wealth, Source of Funds, and complete due diligence reference checks through available sources and services to manage reputational and country risks while corroborating information and ensuring all details are captured.
- Establish an individual plan towards achieving performance targets/KPIs for revenue growth, acquiring new qualifying UHNW households, executing deep discovery activities that reflect the expertise, skill sets, and professionalism.
- Proactive in developing and structuring end-to-end solutions to address client needs effectively applying your knowledge and understanding of financial planning principles.
- A self-starter, you work independently to leverage your network to build a robust UHNW portfolio of clients, while working with your Associate to maintain a quality client portfolio, conducting frequent reviews to purify the portfolio and cycle new business and generate strong revenue streams.
- You are committed to your team, and lead by example, you coach and mentor others, and provide assistance to your colleagues to meet the needs of all clients taking on broader work and accountabilities as they are assigned.
- You ensure your skill sets and accreditation are updated and keep abreast of information and developments in our industry to meet client advice needs and role requirements while adhering strictly to policies and procedures, legal and ethical requirements and regulations always safeguarding bank and client information and bank reputation.
What do you need to succeed?Must Have
- A minimum of 5 – 7 years of success managing a profitable portfolio of clients and/or Wealth Management experience
- Recognized University Degree
- Proven track record of sales success, business development, and effective relationship management
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian banking, lending, and investment products
- Ability to work independently to problem solve, resolve complex/ambiguous issues and sensitive situations
- Strong verbal & written communication skills (both English and Chinese)
