Introduction
Over the past five years, the UNDP has collaborated closely with Rwanda’s government and various stakeholders to strengthen capacities for sustainable environmental and disaster risk management. Two pivotal initiatives, the SCENR and DRM projects, have spearheaded these efforts. SCENR, spanning six years, has focused on enhancing Rwanda’s ability to manage natural resources sustainably, while DRM has concentrated on bolstering disaster resilience nationwide, aligning with the Sendai Framework priorities.
As these projects near completion, there’s an urgent need to document their impacts, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. To accomplish this, the UNDP is seeking a national consulting firm with expertise in creating impactful visual content. The firm’s role entails producing high-quality photographs and video documentaries that effectively communicate the outcomes and insights of these initiatives to a wide audience, serving as records of milestones and engaging stakeholders, policymakers, and the community in discussions about environmental sustainability and disaster resilience in Rwanda.
The assignment’s specific objectives include creating two comprehensive video documentaries, eight short social media videos, and a collection of at least 50 field photographs with captions. These visual assets will showcase key aspects of the SCENR and DRM projects, highlighting interventions, key actors, beneficiaries, and successful strategies. The firm must ensure top broadcast quality, adhere to UNDP’s requirements and deadlines, and maintain professionalism and ethical standards throughout. Payment will be made upon satisfactory completion of all deliverables, with the contract price fixed regardless of changes in cost components.
