By embracing these values, we deliver better, more accessible, and inclusive public services.About the OpportunityAs Product Coordinator, you’ll join the Service Design and Delivery team to provide digital solutions built around the needs of users. You’ll provide leadership to a strong, established delivery team. You’ll collaborate with technical experts, Service Designers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and other professionals to develop new products for a variety of initiatives, and you’ll support and improve existing software that is critical to delivering government programs and services.This position offers a career with cross-sector partnerships, work-life balance, flexible work arrangements, employee and family support, secure employment, and professional development opportunities.Primary Responsibilities

  • Providing hands on leadership to a product delivery and support team, consisting of both internal staff and contracted professionals.
  • Coordinating, prioritizing, and assigning activities required to develop, deploy, and support digital solutions within an assigned portfolio of products and services.
  • Engaging stakeholders and communicating their needs as inputs into software design and development.
  • Proactively leading the delivery of products and services, including managing dependencies, resolving blockers, and escalating more challenging risks and issues.
  • Providing digital expertise to government program partners throughout the stages of a product’s lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT or Computer Science and at least five (5) years relevant experience.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and experience in software design and development.
  • Experience leading product delivery and/or technical support teams.
  • Experience with project methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Experience estimating effort and duration of projects and tasks and managing timely delivery.
  • Effective decision-making and prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

Valued Assets

  • Skills and experience with .NET and C#, or other programming languages.
  • Skills and experience with data modelling and database scripting languages (SQL).
  • Experience with APIs and web services.
