They are responsible for identifying capabilities, features, and potential risks for the product’s vision by working with end users, stakeholders, the agile team and business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to produce high quality features that will change the way the Bank interacts with customers. In collaboration with the agile team, the Product Manager will be engaged throughout the different phases of the product lifecycle and will actively evolve the product roadmap. The Product Manager will be expected to represent the voice of the customer and prioritize the backlog. Moreover, the incumbent will be expected to enable peers and tirelessly advocate for the vision and customer experience you’ve been entrusted with.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Responsible for defining a product’s release and iteration backlog based on the product’s overall vision and input from business SMEs, customer experience and the agile team.
- Understand and articulate the product’s vision, including its objectives, value proposition, and key risks associated with opportunities/ideas
- Develop product roadmap and backlog, further decomposed into features, epics and user stories that can be understood and committed to by members of the team and releases that deliver significant value to the end user.
- Prioritize (and continuously reprioritize) delivery based on the calculated benefits/value of identified features/epics/stories and that all stories are aligned with and traceable to the product vision
- Act as primary reviewer and approver of finished development work during iteration demos/reviews and before the product is released into the market, based on established acceptance criteria and to ensure that it meets expectations
- Lead the development of user stories and supporting documentation with applicable acceptance criteria
- Utilize SMEs – including team members – to assist in the validation of epics and user stories as well as other activities such as user experience testing
- Incumbent will work across 4-5 robotic development labs depending on the level of complexity and involvement required
- This position requires the incumbent to be resilient, flexible and dynamic, resourceful and self-sufficient, ready to work non-standard work hours
- Incumbent must have the ability to balance competing or conflicting goals of various departments/stakeholders, requiring a mature, diplomatic approach
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics, computer science or other relevant field.
- Masters / MBA considered an asset.
- 3 to 6 years of progressive work experience in new product development (in specific field, as appropriate).
- Prior experience in a project environment and familiar with project life cycle management.
- Experience working in an agile environment is considered an asset
- Certified Product Owner with working experience with scrum teams
- Fluency in Spanish is an asset
- Working knowledge of Robotics (RPA/RDA) in the Financial Services is an asset
- Working knowledge of Pega BPM & MS Power in the Financial Services is an asset
- Thorough knowledge of software technologies and of the various iterative Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships, work with diverse business interests to create consensus and confidence
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally.
