Job Description Summary
BD is looking for a Professional Education Specialist to join their team! The successful candidate will be responsible for professional education and events across the PI business portfolio, supporting the implementation of the UK and Ireland marketing and market access strategy. This is a hybrid role, based out of either the Crawley or Winnersh office, with travel required within the UK and Ireland to education and event locations as needed.

Our vision for Peripheral Intervention at BD
Our Peripheral Intervention (PI) business unit offers a comprehensive range of medical products, devices and services for the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease, cancer detection, and end-stage renal disease and maintenance.
About the role
Working in close collaboration/partnership with the Market Access Manager PI to support the PI Sales Teams, you will be responsible for:

Creating and implementing an annual PI professional education programme including liaising with strategic HCPs and supporting the executive team in the compliance and logistic processes.

Providing the ‘right training, to the right person, at the right time’

This will include the maintenance of an Events procedure and accountability for ensuring the successful planning, co-ordination and execution of professional education, exhibitions and study days.

Adopting and localising the EMEA marketing strategic priorities to meet the UKI team goals to ensure an aligned professional education programme.

In partnership with Sales and Market Access, support a programme to build strong relationships with HCPs to build a faculty for ongoing professional education. This should range from upcoming experts to established KOLs.

Coordinate and support the attendance of congresses/scientific meetings (national and regional) including stand creation, advertising and creating strategies to maximise lead generation & follow up in conjunction with the Executive Support Team (EST).

Providing day to day management of Educational Events programme:

Managing the internal approval process for customer facing materials though the Veeva Adprom educational materials for the PI portfolio.

Interactional Hub (Compliance) requirements in conjunction with the EST.

Creating supporting materials to aid in the training of new hires.

Creating and implementing promotional and communications activities to support the promotion of the professional education and events such as social media and advertising.

Where required, act as a liaison between the Sales Managers and the EMEA Marketing managers and Product Managers.
About you
-
Professional education and event management/coordination experience, ideally in the healthcare sector.

Preference is an individual educated to degree Level (or equivalent including CIM). Marketing or Business degree preferred.

Good communicator who will contribute proactively and constructively to discussions.

Excellent time-management and organisational skills.

Experienced in using Microsoft Office applications – particularly Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

A highly motivated self-starter with ‘can do’ attitude

Displays high levels of self-awareness and maturity. Reliable, supportive, committed and passionate about improving health outcomes.
