Permanent campus based roleAbout the RoleThe Faculty is seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the position of Professional Lead – Nursing & Midwifery Education (Senior Learning and Training Fellow).You will be expected to inspire best practice, acting as a key leader and expert advisor in the design, development, delivery, and quality assurance of the School of Nursing & Midwifery portfolio of programmes, CPD, knowledge exchange and apprenticeship activity.Take a lead role in academic planning, curriculum review, and quality, leading on the development of our school learning, teaching, and assessment strategy.Develop, apply, and promote innovative teaching techniques and contribute to teaching excellence across the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Faculty and the University through offering feedback and guidance. Your role will ensure that the fields of nursing are prominent within our portfolio of programmes.We offer various routes for progression, a range of specialist development sessions and academic development opportunities along with an award winning and comprehensive staff health & wellbeing programme (HR Excellence Awards 2017).   • Have excellent strategic leadership skills including highly effective communication and people skills with excellent emotional intelligence.
  • Have an academic and clinical background in nursing with experience and knowledge of a mental health and/or learning disability portfolio.
  • Be a UK NMC registered nurse with PhD or other research and peer-reviewed publications in the SoTL (pedagogic research and application and integration of knowledge into learning and teaching),
  • Be an expert in the field, demonstrating experience of undertaking educational leadership roles, with track record of pedagogic leadership.
  • Possess effective leadership and management skills such as influencing, communication and engaging with others i.e., internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Be, proactive in approaches to generating and reporting on data such as evaluations, benchmarks. audit and key performance indicators.
  • Have extensive experience of operational, strategic, and professional management and leadership
  • Be able to demonstrat ability to successfully lead change in a complex environment
