The School of Engineering is seeking an ambitious leader to take on the role of Head of Department for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, starting in summer 2025 or soon thereafter. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Engineering at the University of Manchester.As Head of Department, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, advancing research, and enhancing teaching quality in a rapidly evolving field. As Head of Department, you will navigate these exciting changes and help guide the department’s future success.You will lead one of five Departments within the School of Engineering, working alongside the Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Management, Computer Science, and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering departments. As a key member of the School Leadership Team and Extended Faculty Leadership Team, you will contribute to strategic decision-making and ensure the efficient operation of the department.Who We’re Looking For
