About usUCL School of Pharmacy is one of the world’s leading centers of excellence for pharmaceutical science, education, and professional engagement.The school has a well-established track record in high quality research across a broad range of drug delivery, drug discovery, pharmacy, and patient safety related areas as well as in the development of spinout companies bringing new therapeutic strategies to the patient.The UCL School of Pharmacy is located within the Faculty of Life Sciences (FLS) and is one of five areas that constitute the faculty the others being the Division of Biosciences, the Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology at UCL, the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neurocircuits and Behaviour and the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit.The faculty has been associated with seven Nobel Laureates and continues to build on its existing strengths in cell and developmental biology, evolutionary and population genetics, cellular and circuits neuroscience, and structural and molecular biology. The merger with the School of Pharmacy in 2012 provided new opportunities in drug discovery; additionally, the faculty hosts joint appointments with the Francis Crick Institute.About the roleThis is a full-time permanent role.Professor/Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy/Clinical Pharmacology is a senior member of the Research Department of Practice and Policy.This Professor/Associate Professor position will further develop our research portfolio within the healthcare arena including clinical pharmacy and clinical pharmacology, medication safety, pharmacoepidemiology, medicines optimisation, clinical trials in primary and/or secondary care.The position also offers collaborative and partnering opportunities with the Research Department of Pharmacology that is developing novel therapies for first in human clinical trials and expertise of in silico pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modelling. The successful candidate will in collaboration with others, lead the delivery of the professional and clinical elements of the undergraduate and postgraduate programs which are designed for pharmacists in the UK and elsewhere.The successful candidate is expected,
