Our research has a global reputation in the areas of place management, decent work and sports policy. We also have growing research strength in a range of other business and management disciplines, including finance, international business, marketing, supply chain management and sustainability.In REF 2021, we submitted 80 researchers to the Business and Management Unit of Assessment, and we ranked 35th out of 108 institutions for research power. We were ranked 16th nationally for the quality of our impact with case studies on place management, SME growth, good employment and international business. And our research environment, which ranked in the first quartile, was praised for the development of both early and mid-career researchers. Meanwhile, we lead the sector in Management Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.You will have the freedom to tailor your development and build your academic reputation.
