The School of Social Sciences, Education, and Social Work is a school of social scientists who want to make a difference in the world. The School’s five disciplines are criminology, education, sociology, social policy, and social work, delivering teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We have a strong doctoral community in all areas.The School is seeking to appoint a World-leading Professor in Educational Leadership to enhance the delivery on .The appointee will deliver world-class research and outputs, as well as educational excellence, all while improving the University’s global profile and favorably influencing sectoral developments. The appointee will play an important role in expanding postgraduate teaching, particularly in the area of Educational Leadership. Significant contributions to the mentorship and development of early career staff are also expected, to support and enable staff to create externally funded research projects and provide high-quality research outputs.About the person:The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- A PhD in Education or a cognate discipline.
- A sustained record of Educational Leadership research publications of international excellence in high-quality and internationally recognised journals.
- Proven record of accomplishment in attracting and supervising research students in the field of Educational Leadership.
- Evidence of major external research activities including securing grant income.
- Research Profile that complements the research priorities of the School.
- Proven ability to deliver high quality teaching in the field of Educational Leadership that complements andenhances the School’s teaching activities.
- Evidence of strategic academic leadership in research, programme development, teaching and management in Education.
- A clear vision on future research and development plans and how they would benefit the School, Faculty and University.
- Evidence of ability to strengthen the School’s national and international research and development networks inthe field of Education.
