About usThe UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH) at UCL East campus is an innovative business school preparing future healthcare leaders to disrupt and reimagine global health systems. GBSH is dedicated to training and developing the next generation of leaders in the global health economy by building on UCL’s proud tradition of cross-disciplinary academic excellence in education and research.About the roleThis post will contribute significantly to the development of our research capacity in the field of organisational behaviour and the School. The post holder will conduct and publish world-leading research, securing grants, delivering high-quality teaching and mentorship to early career academics at GBSH, and actively engaging in creating a vibrant interdisciplinary research environment at GBSH. Additionally, the role entails taking a leadership role with respect to creating and leading a research group within their respective academic fields of interest. The Global Business School for Health has three research themes currently – 1. Management and Healthcare Innovation, 2. Health Systems and Policy, and 3. Health Economics, Operations, and Finance. We seek to hire a world-leading academic at the professorial level who will further enhance our interdisciplinary research and societal impact by leading, innovating and engaging external stakeholders in organisational behaviour, particularly in health and healthcare settings. • A PhD (or equivalent) in Organisational Behaviour closely related social science discipline, or an interdisciplinary field relevant to organisational behaviour.
• A track record of publishing on a continuous basis or with leading book publishers, within Organisational Behaviour.
• Strong publication record in reputable, international journals
• Experience of academic leadership and line management, including recruiting staff, motivating colleagues through induction and appraisal processes, and staff contracting
• Experience of external stakeholder engagement across sectors, at national and international level.
• An outstanding international reputation in Organisational Behaviour or related field
• Experience of developing and maintaining an internationally competitive research group in organisational behaviour or related area
• Track record of ability to teach / supervise master’s and doctorate students, and mentor junior colleagues
• Willingness to collaborate with other academics, nationally and internationally
• Ability to support and write successful grant applications
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
