Professor in Theoretical Particle Physics

Applications are invited for the position of Professor in Theoretical Particle Physics.We are seeking to appoint a theoretical particle physicist with an excellent research record in the field of Beyond the Standard Model phenomenology. An ability to develop projects with links to the experimental activities in the Particle Physics Group is highly desirable.At Manchester, you will join the Particle Physics Group in the Department of Physics and Astronomy (P&A). The Group supports a broad research programme in both experimental and theoretical particle physics. The theoretical research is carried out by 7 academic staff, 9 postdoctoral researchers and fellows and 14 PhD students working across a diverse range of topics including QCD, BSM model building, effective field theories, CP violation, neutrino physics, Higgs physics, quantum field theory, astrophysics and cosmology. Our experimental research spans the energy frontier (ATLAS, FCC), quark flavour (LHCb, BES-III), lepton flavour (g-2, Mu2e), neutrino physics (DUNE, MicroBooNE, SBND, SuperNEMO) and the dark sector (Darkside-50, Darkside-20k, FASER).
