For further information visit the .Full-Time, Permanent (2x posts available)The successful applicants would be expected to start on 2 September 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.About the role:Geared towards enhancing the international reputation of Law at Royal Holloway, the role is key to the development and implementation of Departmental, School and University research strategies. It will require engagement in high-quality, high-impact research and teaching; leading major research projects; attracting research funding; engaging effectively with external organisations, bodies and opportunities; and supporting colleagues’ practice and development in research.About you:You will be a confident and inspiring leader who will embrace the opportunity to develop further your leadership skills through playing a full role in the operation and direction of the department. Your leadership experience may have been gained through roles in university, professional/commercial settings but will enable you to provide academic leadership in the design and delivery of high quality, appropriate and innovative teaching programmes at UG and PGT levels, in guiding, supporting and mentoring more junior members of staff, in enhancing external engagement and impact and in playing a key role in supporting the leadership and management activities of the department and University. Head of Department duties may be expected of this role for a term of 3 years.About the Department:The Department of Law and Criminology is part of the School of Law and Social Sciences.
