About usThe Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London is one of the oldest law schools in England and recognised as one of the best law schools in the world. We are based in the East Wing of Somerset House, a Grade One listed building, on our Strand Campus, a short walk from the Royal Courts of Justice and Inns of Court in the heart of legal London.Our location enables us to have excellent contacts with practitioners and policymakers, and we have a strong tradition of engagement with the legal profession.About the roleThe School is seeking to appoint a Professor of Public International Law.The post-holder will be an outstanding candidate with research interests and teaching expertise in the field of Public International Law. The successful candidate’s principal teaching contribution will be to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the area of public international law. The ability to contribute also to the core undergraduate law curriculum is desirable. The successful candidate will also carry out administrative duties in the School.The post-holder will exercise world-class academic leadership in research and teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake world-leading research, seek external funding and grant capture, and to have a deep personal commitment to the delivery of teaching of the highest quality .with a willingness to contribute to, and lead, the Centre for International Governance and Dispute Resolution (CIGAD).The successful candidate will be welcomed as an integral part of our faculty.
