The department hosts a strong culture of interdisciplinarity, with research centres focused on common scientific areas intersecting with thematic hubs that focus on external challenges, requiring expertise from multiple sub-disciplines and leading to greater impact.As the department continues to strengthen, it is now seeking a Professor of Robotics who will combine their outstanding research track record with a commitment to propelling the activity of the department. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to building collaborations across the Faculty, the wider King’s community, as well as externally. They will also be expected to provide leadership within the robotics area, providing mentorship and guidance to early career researchers, as well as contributing to the delivery of education programmes.Robotics at King’s is an increasingly strategic activity spanning multiple units, notably across Informatics, Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences. This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to building collaborative activities between these units, as well as with other disciplines such as Arts & Humanities and the Social Sciences.As a senior academic in the department the postholder will also be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the departmental strategy.For further information the job description can be found , and to discuss this opportunity please contact King’s Search on .The deadline for applications is 23.59 (GMT) on Monday 10th June 2024.
