In addition to teaching and assessing student progress and achievement, the candidate will develop culturally competent and relevant curriculum, design or revise specific courses, work collaboratively with colleagues, and participate in committees, applied research projects, and other initiatives. Teaching could be assigned at any Humber campus and in the online environment.Location/CampusThe successful candidate must be able to work at North Campus, Lakeshore Campus or the International Graduate School Campus (IGS).Salary, Benefits, and PensionThe salary range for full-time professors is $73,079 to $126,689 per annum. Starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees. The college also offers a and will engage in discussions around a relocation package for successful candidates who may need to relocate to the Greater Toronto Area for these roles.QualificationsWhat you bring to the role:Education:A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, economics, social sciences, or a related field is required. In addition, the successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and/or relevant knowledge learned through Indigenous communities, Indigenous knowledge holders, and/or lived experiences.Experience and Skills:Broad research background or expertise is required, as is an ability to teach a number of different courses offered by the Research Analysist program in areas such as market research techniques and tools, research ethics, research communications, project management, survey design, and qualitative research methods. Preference will be given to candidates who have market research industry experience, who have experience teaching quantitative research methods, and who have research or teaching experience within Indigenous communities.In addition to the qualifications described above, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • previous teaching experience, which can include the role of professor, teacher, teaching assistant, workshop facilitator, or other knowledge sharing and mentorship roles
  • engaging and effective teaching skills to help students achieve learning outcomes in both in-class and online adult learning environments
  • ability to coach, support, and manage the learning environment for a diverse group of students using culturally responsive, equity-informed pedagogies
  • cultural competency to develop and deliver culturally responsive curriculum
  • ability to foster innovation and positive change in all aspects of the professor role
  • ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture
