The salary range for this position is CAD $28.01/Hr. – CAD $28.01/Hr.Job SummaryCome work as a Program Assistant with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) in Mental Health and Substance Use!Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Program Assistant to join the Mental Health and Substance Use Administration team at Joseph & Rosalie Segal Family Health Centre in Vancouver, BC. Apply today to join our team!As a Program Assistant in Mental Health and Substance Use with VCH, you will:

• Receive verbal/written referrals for new patients/clients, answers telephones and greets clients, coordinates patient appointments and responds to general inquiries.
• Arrange meetings and attend departmental meetings to record notes or take minutes.
• Set up and maintain filing systems, maintain timekeeping records and completes on-line purchase requisitions for equipment and supplies.
• Type/Transcribe a variety of healthcare documentation, medical dictation/consultations, correspondence, reports and presentations utilizing intermediate word processing and spreadsheet software.

QualificationsEducation & Experience

• Grade 12, supplemented with courses in medical transcription and two (2) years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to type 50 wpm.
• Ability to deal with others effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
