Overview of position
Under the overall
supervision of the CCCM Program Coordinator and the direct supervision of the
National Project Officer, the
successful candidate will contribute to roll out IOM CCCM programmes and will
be responsible to support IOM CCCM unit, he/she will perform the following
duties.
Role objectives
Core Functions
/ Responsibilities:
2.Manage and coordinate day-to-day operations in and around the
CRC;
3.Support and supervise CRC staff, field assessment teams and
focal points;
4.Assist the CCCM PM and
field assistant in engaging with local actors and community leaders to
maintain a close coordination throughout the project. Ensure the communities’
buy-in and ownership of the project.
5.Report
information on needs raised at the CRC in order to contribute to the
development of information materials and information sharing activities;
6.Monitor
and report on the accomplishment of the workplan, potential gaps and delays;
7.Experience in weekly reporting on activities,
progress and recommendations to the Supervisor and the CCCM Mobile Team
to delivery information, outreach campaigns and awareness-raising, and
assessments on key humanitarian subjects relevant to site population.
8.Experience the CCCM mobile team multi-sector need assessments, service
provision monitoring and safety audits, among others at site level, according
to CCCM WG standardized tools.
10.Monitoring an effective, transparent, representative, and inclusive site
governance system including coordination of site service provision and
other defined activities. Ensure that the site population are aware of the
assistance and services available in the site and how to access them.
11.Timely reporting any gaps and/or duplication in service delivery at site
level through the CCCM Field Assistant or CCCM PM.
12.Undertake duty travel to ensure the smooth implementation of all the
tasks mentioned above.
13.Intense travel to the field for monitoring and roving activities
14.Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required
Qualifications and Experience
Education
·Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
Or
·High
School Diploma with five (5) years of relevant professional experience
Experience
- Experience in Camp Coordination and Camp Management (mandatory)
- Experience in managing mobile teams (desirable)
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities and local communities.
- Strong ability to engage with community members, partners and other stakeholders in a respectful manner (essential).
- Familiarity with the local area and surrounding (desirable)
- Experience with participatory fieldwork, methodologies, and monitoring
- Computer literate (IT) knowledge of Microsoft office tools and experience documenting and reporting project activities.
Skills:
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a team of colleagues of varied cultural and professional backgrounds
- Ability to work independently, with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work in challenging settings, under pressure while respecting tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability for leadership in the context of partnership building and consensual decision-making.
- Knowledge of camp management-related technical guidelines, standards, and indicators.
- In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
- Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
- Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
Languages
- For all Applicants, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
- Working knowledge of Pashto or Dari is required.
- Fluency in all national language(s) are highly advantages.
