Everyone at Rotman, faculty and staff, plays a role in bringing that promise to life.Your opportunity:Creative Destruction Lab (“CDL”), originated at the Universityof Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, is one of the world’s premier seed stage programs for massively scalable science-based ventures. The program has created more than $35 billion in equity in less than twelve years targeting companies that have the potential to transform our social, industrial, and economic landscape. Its mission is to accelerate the commercialization of science for the betterment of humankind. CDL is a global program with sites at Paris, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Halifax, Seattle, Wisconsin, Estonia, Melbourne and Berlin.The program’s objective-setting process enhances the performance of technical founders who learn from the insights of experienced entrepreneurs, increasing their probability of success. Each stream within each CDL site hosts a series of 4 annual objective-setting sessions that are the primary mechanisms by which the program is delivered. CDL sessions are complex, full-day events that may be hosted virtually or in person andthat bring together participating startups, mentors, partners, and business students. At the end of each annual program cycle, CDL hosts an annual event called Super Session that brings together graduating startups as well as mentors, partners, and students from across the CDL network.Reporting to the Managing Director, CDL-Toronto and Associate Director, Operations (CDL-Toronto), the Program Manager will be responsible for planning and overseeing CDL-Toronto’s academic courses including the CDL Scholars program, CDL Advanced course, and future related academic programming that may be launched. These courses are the core entrepreneurship education offerings hosted by CDL-Toronto and the Rotman School of Management and serve as the foundational models used by other CDL universities to develop their own academic coursework. The Program Manager will also provide support for the planning and execution of CDL-Toronto Sessions and CDL-Toronto’s Apprentice Program, a high-impact initiativeaimed at increasing diversity in the fields of entrepreneurship and STEM education.The Program Manager will plan and oversee the complete annual cycle of CDL-Toronto’s academic course offerings including marketing, admissions processes, matching of students to CDL ventures, coordination with faculty on course content, communications and scheduling with students, and course outcomes evaluation. They will also work with the Associate Director, Operations on the design and implementation of CDL Sessions and the CDL-Toronto Apprentice Program including on logistics, communication, education session and ensuring student safety. The Program Manager will also support program design and delivery of new courses and educational programming.The Program Manager supports the overall CDL-Toronto mandate to provide a high level of professional service to the University and business community including students, alumni, faculty members, academic administrators, administrative staff and representatives of partner institutions and sponsor organizations. The Program Manager works with team members to ensure smooth and effective delivery of programs.The Program Manager works in a highly dynamic environment that requires a high degree of sensitivity, responsiveness and a need to maintain strict confidentiality. The Program Manager must present a professional image by interacting knowledgeably and courteously with all CDL-Toronto stakeholders including senior administrators, faculty, staff, and students, alumni locally, nationally and internationally.Your responsibilities will include:

USW Pay Band 13 — $84,813. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $108,463. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
