Program Manager, Projects (Project Manager)

Job Overview: The CEO is a subsidiary of the International Rescue Committee and a non-profit financial institution that offers accessible, small-dollar consumer and microenterprise loans primarily to refugees, immigrants, and other traditionally financially excluded communities. CEO makes its loans through partnerships with trusted community-based organizations that offer financial education and other asset-building services.

The Project Manager is a new remote position with primary responsibility for leading the launch, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of pilot programs or initiatives. The position also supports the development of related educational content and general capacity building of the organization. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Learning and Innovation, the Manager works across all CEO Departments and teams to ensure the successful and timely implementation of new pilot projects or loan products. The position also supports as needed with other department-wide or organization-wide efforts.

CEO is rapidly expanding nationally and offers opportunity for career growth. 10% – 15% of each week may be spent gaining experience across any of CEO’s core operational areas – including project design, loan underwriting, grant and donor support, communications, partnerships or monitoring and evaluation.

This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S.

Major Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Lead implementation of assigned projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and with full compliance and fidelity to regulatory and project design requirements. Common tasks may include:
    • Monitoring, collecting and analyzing key project data
    • Managing and working directly with borrowers, internal & external stakeholders or other implementing partners, scheduling & convening meetings & trainings, leading communications etc
  • Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines and resource requirements
  • Monitor project progress, identify and address issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful delivery
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management; support in creation of final reports or other related publications
  • Proactively address issues as they arise and escalate when necessary
  • Support expansion and scale of successful pilot programs/projects or products

Content Development

  • Serve as primary developer of content for special projects, including marketing materials, self-help guides and process diagrams
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate project curriculum or materials for ongoing development, customizing to meet the needs across programs and project partners
  • Research and incorporate technology-related solutions to create efficiency, quality and opportunities for scaling of successful projects

Capacity Building

  • Support org-wide data reporting and quality assurance
  • Deliver trainings to new and current partners, staff and/or borrowers
  • Support in new technology research, testing and rollouts

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of relevant experience in project management in a related field (lending or economic-development related projects) required
  • Must have foundational knowledge of the U.S. credit system & basic understanding of loan products/processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation & reporting
  • Must have excellent English written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite required; advanced proficiency with data management in Excel a strong plus
  • Graphic design, data visualization or other related experience a strong plus
  • Fluency in Spanish, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Farsi, Somali, Ukrainian or other common refugee language preferred
  • Experience with modern LMS systems, AI-integrations and CRM platforms strong plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Working Environment***:***

  • This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the U.S. The majority of the workday is at a computer terminal. While remote, the position does require regular weekly local travel to support administrative functions core to the job (checking mail, sending correspondence, etc).

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
