icddr,b in collaboration with partners will implement 3 sister projects and will work with different departments of the ministries, especially the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) of the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) at the national, regional, and local levels, to improve development of young children.

The Programme Officer reporting to the Assistant Coordination Manager, will be required to provide regular support to the 3 ECD projects and maintain regular communication with PI of icddr,b and provide necessary assistance to admin and finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular support to ECD projects and maintain regular communication with PI of icddr,b;
  • Support the project team in field level intervention delivery;
  • Maintain liaison with government officials at districts and subdistricts;
  • Plan, communicate, and organize field visits as per study need and manage time sheets and financial reporting;
  • Prepare and compile all the decisions, field data and reports and share it with the PI of projects on a regular basis;
  • Identify areas of improvement and provide necessary assistance as and when required.

Required qualification and experience:

  • Master’s degree in any discipline with good academic records from a reputed University (Preferable subjects are MBA, Accounting, Statistics, and Applied Statistics)
  • 3 years of experience (experience in public health programmes and research is preferred)
  • Experience in preparing time sheets and financial reporting, handling MIS data and statistical analysis will be given preference.
