The National Forest
Project Administrator
Moira, Swadlincote, Derbyshire (with hybrid working)
About Us
The National Forest is one of the boldest environmentally led regeneration initiatives in the
country, and we are now looking to expand our team to put us on track to meet 33% forest cover
by 2045. We believe trees are the catalyst for change, enabling nature, society, and the
economy to thrive by working together. We believe a positive future is possible – and we can
show it’s happening, here and now.
The ‘Developing the Strategic Framework for the Midlands Forest Network’ project aspires to
link existing forests and initiatives to create an ambitious new network of woodlands and
wildlife habitats across the Midlands. This progressive two-year project is a partnership of
the Midlands Engine, National Forest Company, and Woodland Trust, funded by Defra and the
National Lottery Heritage Fund. With this support, we have an opportunity to enhance the
region, create a new network of habitats, engage a diverse range of communities and establish
greater partnership working to enable woodlands to thrive across the Midlands.
We are now looking for a Project Administrator to join the Midlands Forest Network team on a
part-time basis, working 30 hours per week, for a fixed term contract until 30th October 2025.
