We are seeking a Project Administrator to join the Department of Chemical Engineering and support the GW-SHIFT project.You will provide research project administration for GW-SHIFT: ‘Great Western Supercluster of Hydrogen Impact for Future Technologies’, an EPSRC funded project exploring low carbon hydrogen.You responsibilities will include:

  • Administering meetings
  • Making travel arrangements
  • Board and committee work
  • Project manager support
  • Updating of web pages and social media channels

Where opportunities arise, you will input into data collection to support the production of reports and communications, seeking to improve the administrative processes around these tasks where necessary.Further responsibilities of the role may include assisting the academic lead and GW-SHIFT project manager with other professional services as needed, such as IP and Legal, Post Award Finance, Marketing and Events teams.The role involves dealing with a wide range of matters and may include interaction with high profile internal and external collaborators.You will benefit from a collaborative co-working environment in the new Hydrogen Support Hub on campus and sharing project administration duties. You will tap into advice streams with experienced IAA and Research Services teams at Bath and Exeter and with collaborators at SETsquared and the GW4 Alliance.This position is offered full time, on a fixed term basis until 31st December 2027.About youOur ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in an administrative support role, ideally within an academic environment
  • Be able to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines on their own initiative
  • Learn new systems and procedures rapidly
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills
