Program Controls is the application of Project Controls in a Program Management context. This includes the added complexity and interactions demanded from Programs such as Government legislation, Political obligations, Legacy creation, multi-partner KPIs, cross industry body creation and/or collaboration, contract incentivising, and finance partnering.

With a focus on our Ireland region, you will lead Project Controls efforts, working closely with key clients and stakeholders to turn their visionary goals into tangible successes.

Here’s what you’ll do: 

  • Manage and coordinate Program Controls for programs that are large in size, are of high strategic value and/or have a high level of execution complexity.
  • Provide senior-level oversight for program controls activities, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives set by senior leadership.
  • Lead the coordination efforts across multiple projects within the program, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with overarching program objectives.
  • Proactively identifies and addresses interdependencies between projects,
  • Provide expert guidance and oversight to project controls teams, ensuring the effective management of individual project elements.
  • Facilitate clear and concise communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership, providing insightful and actionable updates.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for: 

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as project management, engineering, business, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive senior level experience gained within Program Controls
  • An ability to provide technical leadership and to set the strategic direction for program controls on an active program, ensuring alignment with the organization’s broader objectives.
  • Deep understanding in all underlying concepts and principles of program controls, paired with extensive experience to provide insights, thought leadership and the evolution of the discipline.
  • Provides visionary guidance, efficiently oversee and elevate program controls processes, tools, methodologies, and decision-making within programs to ensure not only their successful execution but also their alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrates a high level of capability in establishing, managing and maintaining a robust and realistic baseline, assessing performance, providing meaningful insightful analysis to support proactive management of the program, facilitating deliberate, evidence-based decision-making in order to enhance delivery confidence, manage risks, and provide assurance in program outcomes.
  • A proficient leader, inspiring and guiding program controls teams, providing a clear vision, direction, and effective guidance for goal attainment.
