Do you love working in partnership and want to make a difference to our threatened habitats and
species? We have been successful in securing £1.7m from the Species Survival Fund (SSF) to work
in the NWDNL, across 7 sites, restoring a range of habitats and benefitting a diversity of
species.

About the role

We are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and enthusiastic team member to
coordinate the delivery of this project, ensuring objectives are delivered to agreed
timeframes, within budget and ensuring that the project is monitored and evaluated as required
by the SSF.

This will be a rewarding role, providing support and guidance to each of the 9 Partners and
liaising with the Heritage Fund, to ensure that the project is being delivered and managed
successfully.

The Partners are a range of private estates, landowners and experienced charities and they will
be procuring, managing and delivering their individual projects on the ground, following SSF
guidance, and with your help. More information about the P4N partners and sites can be found
here:

About you

You will have a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent. You will have significant
project management experience and will have managed and worked in partnerships, preferably in
the conservation, landscape and land management sectors.

An excellent communicator, in person, via presentations and report-writing, with proven
experience of engaging with and building trusted relationships with land managers and
conservation bodies. You will preferably have experience of managing lottery/Defra funded
projects and therefore be generally familiar with SSF requirements and standards.

Working with the Project Support officer and alongside the NWDNL team, you will have motivation
and initiative.

Species Survival Fund

This project is funded by Defra’s Species Survival Fund. The fund was developed by Defra and
its Arm’s-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in
partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency.
