Project coordinator 

Responsible for management of several projects in the program area of human rights, social and environmental impacts of the international development finance under the supervision of the Strategic Area leader for Democracy and Human Rights 

Key elements for profile 

  • Responsible for overseeing the implementation of projects’ specific activities in collaboration with respective strategic area leaders, policy officers, campaign leaders. 
  • Preparing project reports to donors; 
  • Contribution to preparation of fundraising proposals;  
  • Monitoring correct use of the grant’s budgets; 
  • Reviewing financial reports prepared by the finance team; 
  • Organising audits of the projects where required. 
  • Contributing to the preparation of the overall Bankwatch work-plan;  
  • Contributing to the implementation of the Democracy team workplan, including maintaining contacts with multilateral development banks’ staff on specific projects or policies; 
  • Work with organizations in Western Balkans, the European Union’s Eastern Neighborhood and Central Asia; 
  • Preparation advocacy materials: letters, briefings, issue papers, complaints;  
  • Take part at the fact-finding missions to areas of the project’s implementations; 

Key skills and knowledge 

  • Experience with project management (NGO experience is an advantage 
  • Background in or experience with human rights, environmental protection, public participation and accountability is a plus. 
  • Facilitation and problem-solving skills 
  • Coalition-building, strong team player 
  • Readiness to travel 
  • Fluency and good writing skills in English are required. 

The position is based in any of the Bankwatch or Member group offices in Central and Eastern Europe. Applicants should have the necessary legal status to work in one of our member group countries. 

We offer a one-year contract for the position with posibility to extend the contract.  

The workload of the position is 1FTE (full-time equivalent).
