Position: Project Delivery Manager
Location: Toronto / on-site
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Our Toronto-based client, consistently ranked as one of Canada’s top employers, is looking for a PMP certified Project Delivery Manager who will play an integral part in supporting enterprise-wide Technology Transformation projects. This position requires working on-site in downtown Toronto four days a week.
Your New Role:
You will lead the evolution of the existing Portfolio Management practice into a formal best-in-class PMO capable of driving and supporting multiple concurrent programs effectively. This role is also responsible for project portfolio planning and management, enabling the PMO methodologies and governance processes for the overall Data & Technology (D&T) portfolio, obtaining early and comprehensive visibility into the corporate annual planning cycle to identify technology initiatives for prioritization and budgeting.
You will provide leadership in methodology adoption, mentor a team of Project/Program and Product Managers, and oversee the full project lifecycle to align with business goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing tracking mechanisms, facilitating forums and meetings, managing stakeholder communication, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the adoption of a new project management tool, Asana.
Key Requirements:– Over 7 years of full-time experience as an IT Project Manager, adept in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
– PMP certified, with a robust track record in managing all phases of project deliverables, including project plans, delivery schedules, and project financials.
– Skilled in scoping projects with ambiguity and leading enterprise-wide software implementations or digital transformations.
– Strong background in process documentation and a working knowledge of data analytics concepts.
– Well-versed in SDLC, ITSM, and ITIL concepts, capable of bridging functional and technical roles in project settings.
– Experienced in implementing business solutions and managing the rollout of new Project Portfolio Management (PPM) systems.
– Proficient in using Google Suite tools and virtual meeting software.
– Experience in developing and managing complex IT transformation initiatives within medium to large organizations, along with a Prosci Change Practitioner Certification, is highly valued.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
