Job Description*** Must have an active (or ability to obtain/maintain) a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance ***The purpose of this position is to plan and perform work requiring sound technical judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of project management assignments worldwide. This role has the responsibility to perform the essential job duties and functions as listed below with the overall objective of managing and/or coordinating project activities that are in compliance with the contract and ensure the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and Fluor profitability of the completed project. Performing assigned general duties of limited scope and level of responsibility, this position is designed to develop broader project management knowledge and experience. At this level, the role may have the responsibility as the only project engineer on a small project with full accountability for the general duties, or the responsibility for general duties on a mid-sized project or more complex segment of a larger project.

• Perform basic project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems
• Assist in management and coordination of activities among all project functions and engineering disciplines in accordance with the established project baseline
• Coordinate efforts of technical disciplines, vendors and licensors to ensure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements and contractual requirements
• Support creation and coordination of overall project plans and schedules, and monitoring activities, progress, and milestones against the plans
• Support creation and coordination of project effort hours, and cost estimates and budgets, and monitor progress and cost performance against these
• Support the preparation, delivery and coordination of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages

#IntelBasic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) industry including the performance of functional tasks on projects with a basic understanding of procedures and interfaces
• Flexible and adaptable approach, willing to take on new work challenges
• Ability to set and maintain high standards of performance with responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and task
• Customer focused with ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships while meeting the company’s needs
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, accountability, and adaptability skills

• Proactive reporting of progress and accomplishments of assignments and apply necessary follow-up to monitor progress and results of project tasks and assignments
• Analytical approach to problem solving and identifying potential solutions
• Technical writing skills
• Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, electronic presentations, and project management tools
• Certification in project management suggested, for example Project Management Professional (PMP)

• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
• The U.S. Government customer requires that United States citizens under consideration for employment at the Rainy location, OCONUS, United Kingdom under a Department of Defense (DoD) contract as well as their spouse/domestic partner and any dependents ages 5yrs and above who will be accompanying them, complete a Behavioral Health Evaluation (BHE) by a doctoral-level (i.e., PhD, PsyD, or MD) behavioral health specialist (i.e., Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatrist) and be deemed “Qualified/Approved” before authorization can be granted to the Candidate Contractor and their family, to relocate to the United Kingdom. If the results of the BHE performed on you, your spouse/domestic partner, and/or any dependents over the age of 5 accompanying you are deemed unacceptable by the U.S. Government customer, in its sole discretion, you will be denied access by the U.S. Government customer to the installation and, as a result, your offer of employment from Fluor will be rescinded.
