We’re always searching the globe for innovative, collaborative minds to join our best-in-class Aecon community!What Is The Opportunity?Aecon is currently seeking a Project Manager – Equipment to join the GO Rail Expansion (RER) project, located in the Greater Toronto Area. This transformational project is the largest capital infrastructure project in Ontario’s historic GO Rail Expansion program!Reporting to the Track Lead, the Project Manager Equipment will be mainly responsible for Trackworks construction and planning both in new and existing/operational infrastructure (Installation or substitution of special trackworks, new track construction, track renewal, earthworks, cable containment installation under track crossings construction).What You Will Do Here:
- Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
- Leading with the support of the procurement department all the procurement processes regarding equipment.
- Being part of training programs, both for development of content and as a trainer.
- Supporting the procurement department, preparing commercial bids and change orders for equipment.
- Monitoring schedule performance of different equipment suppliers.
- Schedule and coordinate equipment, both for delivery and for maintenance, taking corrective action where necessary and as appropriate.
- Schedule and coordinate equipment operators.
- Schedule and coordinate equipment mechanics and maintenance operations.
- Support other departments: Planning, Cost control, Estimating, Scheduling,Design/technical office, HS, QA/QC.
What You Will Bring to The Team:
- Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles with railway equipment.
- Availability to work in Toronto, Canada, long-term.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English both spoken and written, in a professional environment, or provable ability to get this level in no more than three months.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to different environments (Different resources, different requirements/rules, differences in human resources management) and shifting priorities).
- Flexibility to adapt to different shifts.
