Job description

itec group is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager/Estimator specializing in fabrication. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from initial estimation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise in fabrication processes and project
management will play a key role in the success of our operations.Responsibilities:

• Lead the estimation process for fabrication projects, analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, subcontractor quotes, and other project-related expenses.
• Develop project schedules, milestones, and budgets, and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain project profitability; capturing changes to the scope of work with the customer and warranty charge backs with suppliers

Qualifications:

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologist/equivalent diploma
• Minimum two years’ experience in related field would be considered an asset
• Experience in construction project management or a manufacturing background is considered an asset
• Knowledge or experience with PMBOK standards & best practices would be an asset
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively support multiple projects to completion; meeting deadlines and budgets
• Experience with AutoCAD & SolidWorks is an asset
